Consideration of and action on an ordinance approving the updated 2023-2024 Salary & Classification Scales.

Summary: 

The reason for the change is that our previous Maintenance Electrician resigned his employment and now we need to fill that vacant spot.  However, the responsibilities and duties of this position really focuses on HVAC work and not on electrical work, therefore we are rewriting the job description to focus on HVAC work.  The position is staying in the same pay grade, this is a title change only.

 

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

None.

 

Recommended action

Approve the updated 2023/24 Classification and Pay Scales with the change in title from Maintenance Electrician to Maintenance HVAC Technician.
