Discussion of issues relating to options for the Sidewalk and Corner Ramps Project.

Summary:
As part of the previous Sidewalk Projects, the Public Works Department used assigned funds to build new sidewalks and ramps around the City and repair existing that were in poor condition or that were not ADA compliant. After the restructuring of the Public Works Department into Public Works and Planning & Development, it was decided that the PW Dept. would focus on repairs and P&D would focus on new construction.
We are presenting several options to increase safety and continuity near schools and new City improvements (such as the Hike & Bike Trails and the DAC). The options for your consideration and determination are compiled in the presentation attached.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds are available in the Streets Maintenance budget.
