Summary:
Under a separate item on the Board’s agenda, the Board will consider approving an Order of Election for a CCPD continuation election on May 3, 2025. If the Order of Election is approved, it is recommended that the Board enter into a joint election agreement with the City of Deer Park and the Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District so that the City of Deer Park can run the election for the two districts. The two districts will be charged a pro-rated amount of the election expenses after the election is concluded.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds will be budgeted in the FY 2024-2025 CCPD Budget for the CCPD’s share of the election expenses as a budget amendment.
Recommended action
Approve the agreement for joint election with the City of Deer Park and the Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District and Crime Control and Prevention District for the joint election on May 3, 2025.
