Summary:
During the design process, it was instructed to SPI to design the driveways for the Deer Park Terrace neighborhood at a 9% maximum slope. This created the challenge of having to re-construct most of the driveway beyond the Right-of-Way (ROW) into private property. Based on this design, the City of Deer Park would have reconstructed approximately 138 private driveways, some up to 19 ft from the ROW (also needing 138 Right-of-Entry Agreements).
It was requested to change this design parameter to better match existing condition. This change resulted in needing less than 15 Right-of-Entry Agreements and only going about 2 ft into private property to tie-in the new driveway approach.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$65,915.00 from the year 2021 309 General Obligation Bond.
