Consideration of and action on an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 General Fund Budget to appropriate funds for the Library air conditioning system upgrades that were not completed prior to September 30, 2026.

Summary:
During FY 2025-2026, air conditioning systems at several City facilities were upgraded or replaced due to reaching the end of their useful lives. The Library's air conditioning unit was the final system identified for replacement and was scheduled to be completed during FY 2025-2026 along with the other facility upgrades. However, due to contractor delays, the replacement was not completed until October 14, 2026, after the start of the new fiscal year.
Because the project was anticipated to be completed in FY 2025-2026, funding for this expenditure was not included in the FY 2026-2027 budget. As a result, it is necessary to amend the budget in the amount of $13,020.00 to fund this expenditure.
The additional appropriation will be funded from the unassigned fund balance of the General Fund, which is available for this purpose.
