Summary:

Staff will present City Council with a special invitation for the City’s upcoming Tree Lighting Spectacular at Patrick's Cabin Christmas Town.

The City of Deer Park Tree Lighting Spectacular at Patrick's Cabin Christmas Town will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The event begins at 5:30 PM and ends at 9 PM. This event will feature holiday activities for the whole family! Experience Deer Park as our first settlers tell the story of how we came to be "The Birthplace of Texas."

The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6 PM. In addition to the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, families can enjoy other festivities, which will include:

                     Tours of the historic Patrick's Cabin

                     Sip apple cider at the Simeon West Campfire.  Campfire stories will include "Twas the Night Before Christmas"

                     Decorate Christmas ornaments at the Santa's Workshop Craft Station

                     Eat cookies from Mrs. Claus Bake Shoppe

                     Visit the North Pole Post Office to mail a letter to Santa

                     Pet animals at the Bethlehem Live Nativity

                     Join carolers around the Christmas Tree as they sing all of your holiday favorites

                     Shop at Kris Kringle's Market Place

                     Many other activities will surround our Christmas Tree Lighting that will take place at 6 PM

This event is FREE to attend. Be sure to bring cash to enjoy concessions and shop till you drop at the General Store and Kris Kringle's Market Place.

This event is in partnership with the City of Deer Park, Deer Park Parks and Recreation Department, Art Park Players, Deer Park Historical Committee and the Visit Deer Park Tourism division.
