Summary:
With this action, Council is approving an assignment of contract of sale with Mr. Troy Cothran, and reimbursing related expenses of $2900. The purpose of this is to accept via assignment the contract for the purchase of real property owned by Mr. William R. Patrick, Jr. and Ms. Sheryl M. Haselbarth described as West 1/2 of Lot 45, Deer Park Outlots, Harris County, Texas. The City is interested in purchasing this approximately 5 acres parcel of property for the purposes of establishing a detention pond to assist with flood control.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The total cost is $2900, which includes the option fee of $400 and earnest money of $2500.
