Summary:
On September 22, 2022, the City Council of the City of Deer Park authorized a 10-year lease agreement with Stryker for ALS equipment, including stretchers, power loads, and Lucas devices. These items were previously budgeted and purchased through the Fire Control Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District (FCPEMSD). Annually, the FCPEMSD is to reimburse the City for the annual cost of the lease agreement if the District has the capacity to do so.
In FY 2022-2023 the FCPEMSD did not budget funds to reimbursement the City, therefore, a budget amendment is necessary in the amount of $174,000.00. The additional appropriation would be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the FCPEMSD.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $174,000.00 to the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget for the FCPEMSD (Account No. 830-312-45300, Operating Transfers), to be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the FCPEMSD, which is available for this purpose.
Recommended action
Approve the ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget for the FCPEMSD for the annual cost of the ALS 360 Agreement with Stryker.
