Summary:
As part of the TYPE B fund balance project, the City of Deer Park was authorized to solicit bids for expansion of the Deer Park Soccer Complex parking lot project. On January 24th, 2024 the City of Deer Park received seven (7) bids for construction. The bids received were from Mar-Con Services, CMC Development and Construction Corporation, TWL, LLC., Spawglass Civil Construction, Inc.Turner Paving and Construction, Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC. Tegrity Contractors, Inc.
The apparent low bidder at bid opening was Turner Paving & Construction with a bid of $817,117.00. City staff would recommend that the project be awarded to Turner Paving and Construction as the lowest responsible bidder based on cost and qualifications. In addition, City staff would also recommend the acceptance of alternate no.1 at a cost of $9,200. This would bring the total cost to $826,317.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds for this project have been authorized in the Community Development Corporation Fund (account no. 850-432-49090, Parking Lots) as part of the 2021 Type B election.
