Summary:
Section 46-83 of the Code of Ordinances calls for the lowest floor elevated at or above the 500 year water surface elevation, two feet above the centerline of the street; or one foot above the base flood elevation (BFE), whichever is higher of the three. Therefore, a variance is required to construct the finished floor to the new elevation.
