Summary:
Continuation of the decorative street signs program. During the 2024-2025 fiscal year, we installed decorative street signs along Luella Avenue. This current fiscal year we budgeted funds to continue with this program with the focus being on 50 locations along San Augustine and 2 locations along 8th Street. The sign material is being ordered through one of our traffic suppliers, and that purchase will be a sperate agenda item, this agenda item is for approval to purchase of the services of SKE Construction, via their Buy Board contract #660-21, for the installation of the signs. The quoted price for installation is $52,082.62. SKE Construction is the contractor that performed the installation along Luella Avenue.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
A total of $150,000 was budgeted in account 010-403-49040 for the decorative sign project. The proposed sign material cost of $59,878.40, and the proposed installation cost $52,082.62 for a total project cost of $111,961.02.
Recommended action
Approve the purchase the services of SKE Construction, via Buy Board contract #660-21, to install the purchased decorative stop signs.
