Summary:
INVISTA Helping Heroes Grants provides financial support for first responders serving communities throughout Texas. The Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department would like to apply for a grant to purchase a QTac Pump System to be placed/mounted on High-WaterTruck #3.
The QTac Pump System unit will provide 105 gpm (gallons per minute) and in addition has a foam chamber, if needed. It will provide capabilities when responding to grass and brush fires. The pump systems are designed to slide in and mount in the bed of the truck. Currently, High-Water Truck #3 does not have any firefighting capabilities but does provide transportation of personnel, bunker gear and if needed, high water evacuations. If awarded, this grant will allow for High-Water #3 to be equipped with the high-volume gpm system to respond as needed.
Currently, Grass Truck #16 has a high-volume gpm pump system and with the purchase of a QTac Pump System for High-Water #3, there will be a total of two (2) vehicles being equipped with an efficient and effective pump systems.
