Summary:
The one 18-inch CIPP and two 24-inch CIPP storm drainage pipes on Maxwell Lane have failed and caused a void close to a resident’s home, compromising the foundation. Fuquay, Inc. has sent a proposed cost of $99,918.05 to slip line all three storm drain pipes.
$250,000 is available in contingency funds, in the Storm Water Budget. Staff is requesting to purchase the services of Fuquay to make these repairs and fund the project out of the available contingency funds.
Fuquay is a Buy Board company that the City has used several times and we have always been pleased with their work. (Buy Board contract # 731-24)
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Proposed funding source is $99,918.05 out of the available $250,000 contingency available in the Storm Water account 425-410-4510.
Recommended action
Approve the purchase and utilization of available contingency funds for Storm Drainage Rehabilitation on Maxwell Lane.
