Summary:
City of Deer Park staff submitted a grant application to Harris County in the first half of 2023 for the potential development and construction of a hike and bike trail. The trail is proposed to begin in the vicinity of the Deer Park Nature Preserve and extend south towards Pasadena Blvd and the Deer Park Adult Sports Complex. The proposed project was submitted to Harris County for consideration. The City of Deer Park was notified of a conditional approval and agreement of the grant application.
The next step would be the agreement of the City of Deer Park to approve entering into this agreement, as well as Harris County approving the grant application at Commissioners Court.

$450,000 Funds appropriated by City of Deer Park
$400,000 Funds appropriated by Harris County
