Title

Consideration of and action on purchasing OpenGov workorder/asset management software for the Public Works Street Maintenance and Water & Sewer Maintenance Divisions via TX-DIR contract DIR-CPO-5327.

Body

Summary:

Currently, the Public Works Divisions has used work order program, MyCivic (provided through Tyler Technologies), for a little over 5-years.  OpenGov is more centered around the use of Public Works Dept. and will fully integrate with the City’s GIS information.  The Parks & Recreation crews already use this software and give it great reviews.  This current, 2025-2026, fiscal year funds were budgeted to purchase the program for our Street Maintenance Division and Water & Sewer Maintenance Division. Next year, additional modules may be purchased for the rest of the Public Works divisions.

The cost for this current purchase is $77,519.45 and the purchase will be made through TX-DIR contract DIR-CPO-5327.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:

Funds for this project are split between the Street Maintenance and Water & Sewer Maintenance annual budget.
