Summary:
Mr. Stokes, City of Deer Park’s City Manager and 2022-2023 TCMA President, had a vision for his term with TCMA. The theme of his presidency was “Let’s Have Some Fun!” Mr. Stokes spent the year visiting all 10 TCMA regions in the state of Texas, planning this special project well in advance. He received support and participation from every region, and countless individuals.
The project originally included professional dancers and choreographed numbers, to be recorded during the January 2023 TCMA Board Meeting. The catastrophic events that occurred on January 24, 2023 in Deer Park understandably prevented Mr. Stokes from attending that board meeting and having his vision realized.
After some quick pivoting, the new vision for this project was born. The final version presented this evening is a collaboration of TCMA members, City staff, and DPISD.
