Summary:
During the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Traffic Division started the decorative sign program, and phase one consisted of installation of the new signs along Luella Avenue. Funds were budgeted for the current fiscal year to continue this program, with this year’s focus being on 50 locations along San Augustine and two locations off 8th Street. We have received a Buy Board quote in the amount of $59,878.40 to purchase the new sign material. The cost does not include installation but the materials only. The installation, by SKE Construction, is also on tonight’s agenda.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
A total of $150,000 was budgeted in account 010-403-49040 for the decorative sign project. The total cost for both the material and installation is $111,961.02.
Recommended action
Approve the purchase of decorative street signs for $59,878.40 from Trantex Transportation Product via Buy Board contract #703-23.
