Consideration of and action on approving Amendment No. 1, with Cobb Fendley & Associates for the G105-04-01 Drainage Outfall Improvement Project to provide Construction Phase Services.

Summary:
In June of 2025, City Council approved entering into and agreement with Cobb Fendley & Associates for engineering design services related to the G105-04-01 Drainage Outfall Improvement Project. The agreement was for $144,973.70 and included:
• Design Phase Services
• Bid Phase Services
• Topographic Survey
• Geotechnical Investigation
The design was completed and the project was advertised for bids, with construction starting in roughly 3-weeks.
At this time, we are seeking approval of Amendment No. 1 which will provide Construction Phase Services for an additional $61,590.00. The Construction Phase Services include:
• Attend the pre-construction meeting.
• Attend bi-weekly field meetings and site visits.
• Calculate quantities and assist in any change orders.
• Review and approve submittals and shop drawings.
• Respond to Request for Information.
• Review and approval of pay applications.
• Prepare Substantial and Final Completions documentation.
• Prepare record drawings.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The additional cost of $61,590.00 for this Amendment, will continue to be funded out of drainage funds in the 2022 General Obligation Bond.
Recommended action
Approve Amendment No. 1 to the existing agreement with Cobb Fendley to provide Construction Phase Services for an additional $61,590.00 on the G105-04-01 Drainage Outfall Improvement Project.
