Summary:
The City of Deer Park is looking to purchase and have Dekra-Lite install RGB lighting at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center similar to what is currently at the Dow Active Complex and City Hall. Dekra-Lite, a nationally recognized company, that provides custom decoration and light displays to numerous organizations around the United States. They provided information on a potential decoration and maintenance plan for Christmas decorations for the Jimmy Burke Activity Center as well as the RGB lighting install.
Dekra-Lite has provided the City of Deer Park with quotes for each of these options. However, at this time City staff is only looking to purchase and have installed the RGB lights. The cost for this purchase is $73,343.72 and is being acquired via Buyboard contract 735-24.
Attached to this item is a copy of the proposal from Dekra-Lite for the RGB lights.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$73,343.72 is budgeted and available for this purpose in the Capital Improvement Fund.
