Summary:
This item is for the annual purchase of bunker gear for replacement of existing members, as well as new members, of the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department (DPVFD). The Fire Control Prevention and Emergency Services District (FCPEMSD) Board approved the purchase from Metro Fire via BuyBoard contract #798-26 on July 20, 2026. The total for 14 sets of gear is $53,850.00
The purchase of bunker gear was delayed due to the roll out of new NFPA changes in bunker gear construction and manufactures trying to determine how they would meet the new standard.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Fiscal year 2025-26 approved FCPEMSD budgeted expenditure.
