Summary:
Emergency Services has a total of 25 mobile (vehicle) radios in rolling stock inventory. Motorola is phasing out Model APX7500 and will no longer provide service or tech support which could result in a loss of communication among emergency vehicles. This will be Year 2 of 5 Year Plan to replace APX7500 radios with APX8500 radios.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
FY24-25 Year 1 of 5 - replaced five (5) units on PO#25-0965
FY25-26 Year 2 of 5 - approved budget of $40,000
FY26-27 Year 3 of 5 - request $42,000+ based on projected price increase of 4%
FY27-28 Year 4 of 5 - request $44,000+ based on projected price increase of 4%
FY28-29 Year 5 of 5 - request $46,000+ based on projected price increase of 4%

Authorize the purchase of five (5) mobile (vehicle) radios (Year 2 of 5 Year Plan) from Motorola Solutions on HGAC Contract #38451 - TXWARN 2025 in the amount of 39,929.95.
