Summary:
At this time, we want to recognize the outstanding recent professional and personal accomplishments of several City of Deer Park employees:
a. Sara Costlow, Assistant City Manager, City Manager’s Office: Graduated from the Inaugural Class of the Texas City Management Association’s Texas City Management Institute
b. Nicole Ganey, Director of Finance, Finance Department: Elected to be the East Representative to the Board of Directors of the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas
c. City Secretary’s Office: Attained the Texas Municipal Clerks Association’s 2026 Municipal Clerk’s Office Achievement of Excellence Award for 2026-2027.
d. Public Works Cook Team: At the National Public Works Week Picnic & Barbecue Competition, our Team Placed High in Several Food Categories (Brisket, Ribs, Chicken, Dessert)
e. Water Treatment Plant: Placed 2nd Runner Up in the “Best Tasting Drinking Water Competition” hosted at the Texas Water Conference in San Antonio. This is out of over 7,000 public water systems in Texas.
