Summary:
During the March 21st, 2023 City Council Workshop, City staff presented on the status of the current Christmas decorations around the City. It was discussed that staff should consider looking into various options for the future of decorations around the City of Deer Park. Staff has since engaged with several potential vendors and reviewed numerous options. City staff and designated member of City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission have consulted and would like to provide an updated on a possible direction for future consideration.
Dekra-lite is a nationally recognized company that provides custom light displays to numerous organizations around the United States. They are here tonight to provide information on a potential decoration and maintenance plan for Christmas decorations for the City of Deer Park.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds for Christmas decorations are budgeted in the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund.
