Title
Consideration of and action on approving a 3-year agreement for a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution using DIR contract number DIR-TSO-4288.
Body
Summary:
This agreement is for the implementation of a third-party managed Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution to support CJIS compliance. A SIEM collects and analyzes security event data from across the network in real-time, helping to detect threats, monitor activity, and meet logging and auditing requirements. This service is essential following the CJIS sanctionable audit requirement that went into effect in October 2024. Leveraging a managed provider ensures expert oversight and continuous monitoring without additional internal resource demands.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The agreement calls for three annual payments totaling $122,257.50. The first payment is $40,257.50, and is included in account 010-200-42900 of the Information Technology Services’ FY 25-26 budget.
