The Sanitation Division is requesting the purchase of a 2026 Freightliner M2-106 TRA (Garbage Truck) as a replacement for the following Unit 707, which is a 2017 Freightliner, which is the oldest garbage truck in our fleet.
Vendor - Houston Freightliner
Cost - $267,848.56
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
A budgeted amount of $300,000 is included in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Equipment Replacement Fund, Account No. 091-402-49070, Trucks & Heavy Rolling Stock.
Recommended action:
Approve the purchase of a 2026 Freightliner M2-106 TRA (Garbage Truck) for the Sanitation Division through the Houston- Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Program.
