Summary:
The City’s existing Social Media Policy was workshopped with Directors and Staff, with minor updates made including actionable outcomes in the event information including (but not limited to) things of a confidential nature, discriminatory nature, etc. is posted without prior authorization. This policy is referenced in section 5 (EMPLOYEE CONDUCT AND PROCEDURES - POLICY 5.16 - SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY) of the Administrative Manual.
The updated policy, by way of resolution, will be included for approval on the December 2, 2025 regular City Council Meeting agenda.
