Summary:
Alan Cliburn resigned from the Parks & Rec Commission recently. The commission position for applications was posted for 30 days. We received eight (8) applications. Interviews were conducted on October 23, 2024, by the Board & Commission Selection Committee. They will discuss their appointment choice with council during executive session at this meeting. This agenda item will be the ordinance to appoint the selected person to serve the remainder of Mr. Cliburn’s term.
Term will be Nov 5, 2024 through May 31, 2026.

Approve the ordinance for the selected appointee to the Parks and Recreation Commission to serve the remaining term which ends on May 31, 2026.
