Summary:
The Backwash Lift Station has 3 pumps that move water away from the filters and to the back of the plant. One of the lines has failed and all three pumps have rails that have fallen out of place and need to be replaced.
Coastal Pump Services, Inc., provided a quote under their Buy Board contract in the amount of $62,229.00. This service includes the replacement of the 3 riser pipes, replacing the lines with PVC, and replacing the 6 rails with stainless steel. Additionally, there is a contingency in the quote for repair of the footer elbows, if needed. These parts cannot be assessed until the basin is out of service and entry is made.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$75,600 was budgeted in 400-503-4913 for this project.
