Summary:
The Public Works Director reviewed the qualifications of the various firms on the city’s pre-qualified professional services list, and felt that Civitas Engineering Group would be the best firm to assist us with the proposed water model.
This year, the Surface Water Treatment Plant budgeted to have a citywide water model created, with the objective being to simulate the behavior of the water distribution system under various conditions, to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of water. The city requested that Civitas submit a proposal to develop a water system model with the ability to evaluate distribution system problems areas (e.g., low residuals or low pressures) and develop solutions.
The proposal for the scope of work is $149,897.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The Surface Water Treatment Plant has budgeted $150,000 for this project.
