Summary:
An 8-inch watermain on Boston Street, had broken numerous times in a short of amount of time. Staff recommended replacing 750-linear feet of the waterline and the services of SKE Construction were obtained, via Buy Board contract #660-21. The contracted amount was $120,320.83 however the actual construction cost for this work was is $111,815.83. All work has now been completed.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funding for this project was covered by residual funds remaining in three Water/Sewer bond funds. These include the 2015, 2016 and 2018 Certificate of Obligation bonds. (Funds 508, 509 and 511).
Recommended action
Accept completion of the waterline improvement and approve release of retainage.
