Title

Consideration of and action on an ordinance appointing one alternate member to the Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment to complete unexpired term.

Body

Summary:

Mitchell Craft was an alternate member position of the P&Z/BOA board.  His position is available because he was selected to a full member position to replace Danielle Wendenberg.  The position was posted and applications were received.  Four interviews were conducted by the Boards & Commission Board on August 13, 2024.  The Board made their recommendation to Council during Executive Session on August 20, 2024 and council appointed Alisha Melton for the alternate.

However, since that time Chairman Doug Cox submitted his board resignation.  In a separate agenda item tonight, there is an ordinance to promote Ms. Melton to a full member of the P&Z/BOA board.  With this action, the alternate position is once again open.  The Boards and Commission group’s recommendation will be presented to Council during Executive Session on September 3, 2024.

Board of Adjustment alternate member is for the reminder of the unexpired term for Ms. Melton which is September 3, 2024 through May 31, 2025.
