Summary:
The City is currently in the process of installing automated water meters as part of the AMI Project. The cost of the ‘smart’ meters is higher than the cost of traditional meters.
Under the Plumbing and Gas section of the Fee Schedule, we list the cost of residential and commercial water meters. The proposed Ordinance is to revise that fee amount to reflect the actual cost.
Staff is also requesting that the residential plumbing permit fee go from $10 to $20 to match that of the commercial plumbing permit fee.
