Consideration of and action on an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget for the General Fund Parks and Recreation Department to replace bleachers at Spencerview Athletic Complex.

Summary:
Due to the vandalism that occurred at the Spencerview Atheltic Complex, a set of bleachers needs to be replaced. Staff received a quote to replace the bleachers from Game Court Services in the amount of $20,580.00.
The FY 2023-2024 budget in the Parks and Recreation Parks Maintenance Department did not include funding for bleacher replacement, therefore a budget amendment in the amount of $21,000.00 is necessary. The amendment would be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the General Fund, which is available for this purpose.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $21,000.00 to the fiscal year 2023-2024 budget for the Parks and Recreation Parks Maintenance Department in the General Fund (010-432-49030, Improvements) to be funded by the unassigned fund balance, which is available for this purpose.
Recommended action
Approve the ordinance to amend the fiscal year 2023-2024 budget for the Parks and Recreation Parks Maintenance Department in the General Fund.
