Consideration of and action on casting the City of Deer Park’s vote in the Election of a Member on the Texas Municipal League Board of Directors for Region 14 for a two-year term.

Summary:
Previously, elections for regional directors were held at regional meetings. After changes to the TML Constitution were approved in 2023, these elections are now administered by TML centrally.
TML has 15 regions, and each has a seat on the Board. This election is for Region 14 and the term is for two-years.
The ballot the City received shows three people listed:
• Sally Branson, Councilmember - Friendswood (Incumbent)
• Jaquavous S. Doucette, Mayor Pro Tem, Prairie View
• Bert Miller, Councilmember, Navasota
It is Council’s decision on the choice. The ballot must reach the TML office by 5:00 pm by November 5, 2026. It must be properly signed and emailed to Rachel Pitts, if not signed, it will not be counted.
