Summary:
This 2025 Chevrolet 2500 Crew cab will replace Park Operations Unit #904 which was totaled in a traffic accident while conducting hurricane clean up on East Blvd on July 12th, 2024. Its primary use is to assist with the daily operations of the Park Operations division department, including transporting employees to various parks facilities, landscaping needs, and pulling trailers when necessary, and more. The vehicle will be purchased from Country Chevrolet through the TIPS USA Contract #: 210907 and will cost $52,451.25.
The purchase of this vehicle was approved by City Council on September 3, 2024. The vehicle was subsequently budgeted in Fiscal Year 2024 and then again in Fiscal Year 2025. Due to supply chain disruptions, the vehicle was not delivered by the fiscal year-end deadline of September 30, 2025 and must be rebudgeted in Fiscal Year 2026. Being that the delivery delay was unexpected, a budget amendment in the amount of $53,000.00 is requested to allocate funding in the current fiscal year. The amendment would be funded from the unassigned fund balance of the Asset Replacement Fund, which is available for this purpose.

Add $53,000.00 to the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Asset Replacement Fund Budget for the Parks Maintenance Department (091-432-49060, Automobiles) to be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the Asset Replacement Fund, which is available for this purpose.
Recommended action
Approve the ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Asset Replacement Fund budget for the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.
