Summary:
The time is upon us for the City of Deer Park to cast its ballot for the election of a person to the Board of Directors of the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD). With adoption of the attached Resolution, the City casts its vote for a candidate to serve on the HCAD Board as a representative of cities other than Houston. The term will start January 1, 2025. There are eight (8) nominees on this year’s ballot. The resolution and certification of ballot must be returned to Chief Appraiser by December 16, 2024.
The City of Deer Park receives 10 votes to use pursuant to Texas Property Tax Code Section 6.03(d). It is recommended that Council cast all its votes for Mr. Mike Sullivan.
