Summary:
Harris County Fire Marshal Office (HCFMO) is coordinating with multiple local fire departments to assist with FIFA coverage. The Volunteer Fire Department will assist by providing a Brush/Grass truck and two (2) certified fire personnel at the event. The personnel and equipment will be staged at NRG Stadium for 8-10 hour shifts for specific days during the period of June 14, 2026 to July 4, 2026
The Local Agencies are: Community Fire, Spring, Woodlands, Little York, ESD 48, ESD 200, Cy-Fair, Kline, And Sheldon.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The City of Deer Park will receive a pre-approved amount of $8,830.64 for providing fire department personnel and equipment.
Recommended action
Approve entering into an ILA with the City of Houston for providing fire department personnel and equipment for the FIFA World Cup.
