Summary:
Because our population falls between 25,000 and 99,999 per the 2020 census, the City of Deer Park is able to select a representative and alternate representative to the Houston-Galveston Area Council's General Assembly and Board of Directors. The term of office is January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Our present representatives in those roles are former Councilmember Patterson as Representative and Councilmember Ginn as Alternate.
It is recommended that due to the May election that for the rest of 2024, Councilmember Ginn be considered Representative and Mayor Mouton be considered as Alternate. Mayor Mouton recommends this action.

Approval of resolution changing Councilmember Tommy Ginn to be the City's Representative and adding Mayor Jerry Mouton, Jr. as Alternate to the H-GAC General Assembly and Board of Directors for the remainder of 2024.
