Summary:
This current fiscal year the Public Works Dept. budgeted funds to replace the fencing at the three remote well sites as well as at the water treatment plant. The quote to replace the fence at the water treatment plant was over budget and we have decided to re-budget that purchase for the next fiscal year. However, we are moving forward with the replacement of fences at the remote well sites. The well site locations are Coy Street, P Street and Pasadena Blvd. Each site will have their 6-foot barbed wire fence and gates replaced with an 8-foot chain link fence and sliding gates. In total 2,013 linear feet of fencing will be replaced.
The total cost for this work is $137,629.00 and includes mobilization, demo and haul off of existing fences, as well as maintain security, to our well sites, throughout the fence replacement. This work will be performed by Foster Fence, utilizing their Buy Board contract #757-24.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
A total of $222,935 was budgeted for fence replacements in the water treatment plant’s budget (400-503-49030).
