Title
Consideration of and action on accepting completion of the Surface Water Treatment Plant Lab Renovations.
Body
Summary:
BuyBoard Job Order Contracting was utilized to identify a potential BuyBoard contract holder to provide the interior renovations to the Surface Water Treatment Plants laboratory. Through this BuyBoard program, Noble Texas Builders was contacted and the scope of work was discussed in detail. A proposal was provided using the BuyBoard Contract 728-24 and included both the renovation and the interior painting of the facility. Noble Texas Builders proposed $172,795.00 and the price included cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and layout changes per their proposal. It also included painting and the replacement of some ceiling tiles and tie rods where they were stained or the ties were rusted out.
A change order for an additional $4,253.45 was added to the contract for countertops. This brought the total renovations cost to $177,048.75.
The Surface Water Treatment Plant laboratory was renovated to make daily testing and operations more efficient and improved the overall appearance of the building.
Renovations are complete and the Surface Water Division leadership has approved all work.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$133,000.00 was budgeted for these renovations in Fiscal Year 2024-25. There were enough available funds in the departmental budget to cover the overage.
