Summary: The pumps at the Wynfield Lift Station are over 20-years old and have just recently started to fail. The pumps needed to be replaced quickly before we had a complete failure which would cause sanitary sewer overflows and to prevent health and safety issues to the public.
We received a quote from A-Squared Water Treatment, through their TIPS contract #25010401, in the amount of $56,800.00. Due to the urgency of the replacement, the City Manager gave his approval to order the pumps as well as approval to use water/sewer contingency funds for this purchase.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The City Manager gave approval to use contingency funds, available in the water/sewer fund, for this purchase.

Ratify the City Manager’s authorization for purchase replacement pumps for the Wynfield Lift Station via TIPS contract #25010401.
