Consideration of and action on an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Golf Course Lease Fund Budget to purchase a TDRX turf mower that was not received in Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

Summary:
In Fiscal Year 2023-2024, City Council approved the purchase of a John Deer 5060e Utility Tractor and progressive TDRX turf mower for the Battleground Golf Course. The Utility Tractor was expected to be received in December 2024 and was therefore included in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget. The turf mower was expected to be received prior to September 30, 2024 and therefore was not included in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget.
Due to the influx of end of year delivery requests, the supplier of the turf mower was unable to deliver it prior to September 30, 2024 as originally agreed. The turf mower is now expected to be delivered in October 2024 in Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Being that the delay in delivery was unexpected, a budget amendment in the amount of $30,000.00 is requested to allocate funding in the proper Fiscal Year. The amendment would be funded from an operating transfer from the General Fund to the Golf Course Lease Fund. By doing this, the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 transfer will be reduced and the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 transfer will be increased.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $30,000.00 to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Golf Course Lease Fund’s budget (084-432-49040, Machinery and 084-000-36400, Transfers From Other Funds) to be funded by an operating transfer from the unassigned fund balance of the General Fund (010-105-45300, Operating Transfers and 010-000-36410, Prior Year Revenue), which is available for this purpose.
Recommended action
Approve the ordinance to amend the fiscal year 2024-2025 Golf Course Lease Fund Budget for the purchase of a TDRX Turf Mower.
