Summary:
The Public Works Department solicited request for proposals (RFP’s) from vendors for the mowing services along various drainage rights-of-way around town. The City received eight (8) sealed proposals on August 27, 2026.
The submitted competitive sealed proposals were evaluated and scored using a scoring mechanism to determine the best proposal for the City. The committee of staff members scored the proposals and the recommendation is to award the contract to Seril, Inc. (Houston Grotech Services) at an annual cost of $44,100.00 The contract is to begin October 1, 2026 and end on September 30, 2027 and has the option to renew up to 3 concurrent years. Houston Grotech Services holds our current contract, which expires 09/30/26. We have been satisfied with their work.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$70,000 has been budgeted out of the Stormwater Fund for this contract.
