Acceptance of completion of the 2019 Lane Striping Project.

Summary: On June 4, 2019 Semper Striping, LLC was awarded the contract to perform the 2019 Street Striping Project based on their low bid of $147,487.37. The project has been completed with the final construction cost being $141,184.64 which is a savings of $6,302.73.
As you recall, our previous project resulted in the lane striping fading quickly due to only 10mil paint being used. This current project required a 30mil coating which should result in a much better outcome. Turnarounds and other thermoplastic markings received 100mil plastic.
Attached is an exhibit map showing the progress of our street striping program.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: A total of $150,000 was budgeted in the street maintenance account 010-403-44060 to cover the cost of this project.
Recommended action
Staff recommends acceptance of the project.
