Summary:
The FY 2024-2025 Water and Sewer Fund budget included funding for the purchase and installation of stationary generators at the Railroad Avenue and Winfield Estates lift stations. Due to delays with Centerpoint and installing gas lines, the generators were not received until January 2026. Due to installation being delayed until FY 2025-2026, a budget amendment is necessary to allocate funding in the correct fiscal year. The cost for the purchase and installation of the generators was $148,081.08, performed by Motion Industries, Inc. The amendment would be funded from the prior year revenue in the Water and Sewer Fund, which is available for this purpose.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $148,500.00 to the fiscal year 2025-2026 Water and Sewer Fund Water and Sewer Maintenance Department (400-501-49040, Machinery and Equipment) to be funded by the prior year revenues in the Water and Sewer Fund, which is available for this purpose.
