Title
Proclamation Recognizing the 65th National Public Works Week.
Body
Summary:
As National Public Works Week approaches, taking place from May 18th to 24th, we want to highlight this year's significant theme: "People, Purpose, Presence." This theme describes the core principles that drive our dedicated public works professionals in their daily service to our community.
The very essence of public works lies in meeting the needs of our people, which provides a sense of purpose to the work undertaken. Often, the impact of public works goes unnoticed by the very individuals whose lives are positively affected. When infrastructure functions seamlessly and services are delivered effectively, the tireless efforts of our public works teams often remain behind the scenes.
Yet, whether acknowledged with fanfare or operating quietly in the background, public works maintains an unwavering presence in our community. Day in and day out, our professionals are diligently working to advance the quality of life for all residents. National Public Works Week offers a valuable opportunity to recognize and appreciate the vital contributions of these individuals who embody "People, Purpose, Presence" in their commitment to our city.
