Summary:
The water line on Phyllis St. was constructed of cast iron. In recent years, and more recently, this had several failures. Public Works made the decision to replace the water line with HDPE, which has a life span of more than 50 years. Public Works hired SKE Construction to replace the line under emergency contract.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Total cost of this replacement was $52,007.62.
Recommended action
Accept completion of the water line replacement on Phyllis Street.
