Summary:
As part of the Public Works ongoing plan to improve all old and undersized waterlines throughout the city, we would like to purchase the services of Branch Construction Group to replace 2,200 linear feet of old 10-inch asbestos concrete waterline on Center Street, with 10-inch HDPE pipe. The location would be the along Center Street from north of P Street to south of San Augustine.
The quoted cost is $428,909.00 and would be purchased through the TIPS contract #23010401.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
This waterline improvement will be funded out the remaining balances in water/sewer bond funds: 20118, 2019 and 2020 Certificates of Obligation (funds 511, 512 and 513).
Recommended action
Approve purchasing the services of Branch Construction for this waterline improvement project.
