Special recognition of Deer Park Chamber of Commerce’s 2024-2025 ‘Leadership Deer Park’ class.

Summary: 

Once every two (2) years, the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce hosts a class of Leadership Deer Park.  Individuals apply to take part, and spend nine (9) months learning about several facets of Deer Park and our surrounding area.  As part of their effort to learn about the City of Deer Park, Leadership Deer Park members will be in attendance for all of Tuesday evening’s events with City Council.  These include the EOC Ribbon Cutting, pre-Council Meeting dinner, Council Workshop, and Council Meeting.  Earlier that day they will tour several City facilities as noted on the schedule below: 


City Government: January 21, 2025

                     2:15pm - Arrive at Deer Park City Hall

                     2:15pm-2:30pm - Refreshments/Networking

                     2:30pm-3:00pm - Jay/Sara Governance Presentation

                     3:00pm-3:10pm - Restroom/refreshment break

                     3:10pm-3:15pm - Travel to Solid Waste Transfer Station

                     3:15pm-3:40pm - Tour and Presentation at Solid Waste Transfer Station

                     3:40pm-3:45pm - Travel to Water Plant

                     3:45pm-4:15pm - Tour and Presentation at Water Plant

                     4:15pm-4:25pm - Travel to Police Station

                     4:25pm-5:00pm - Tour Police Station and EOC

                     5:00pm-5:15pm - Ribbon Cutting new EOC (police station)

                     5:15pm-5:25pm - Restroom Break

                     5:45pm-5:50pm - Travel back to City Hall

                     5:50pm-8:00pm - Dinner with Council, Council Workshop, and Council Meeting

 

The current Leadership Deer Park class includes several City of Deer Park employees, as well as Councilman Justin League.
