Consideration of and action on election of secretary to fill unexpired term of departing member.

Summary:
With Mr. League’s resignation from the board earlier this year that leaves a vacancy for the position of Secretary. Mr. League was elected to this position at the October 2023 meeting. The position needs to be filled to cover through October 2024. If the board wishes, the by-laws allow for a board member to hold more than one office so the vice president or treasurer could fill the secretary position until the October 2024 meeting.
In October 2024, the full slate of officers will be voted on as per the bylaws.

The Corporation bylaws provide that the officers of the Corporation shall be a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and the Board may designate an assistant secretary and assistant treasurer. The assistant secretary and assistant treasurer are persons other than members of the Board and may be employees of the City of Deer Park. The Board, at each annual meeting in October, shall elect these officers. One person may hold more than one office, except that the president shall not hold the office of secretary. Terms of office shall be one year with the right of an officer to be re-elected. All officers shall be subject to removal from office at any time by a vote of the majority of the entire Board. A vacancy in the office of any officer shall be filled by a vote of a majority of the Board.
